Strict Entry Requirements Into Ghana
Microchip & Rabies Timing
The pet must have an ISO 15-digit microchip. The rabies vaccination must be administered after the microchip and must be at least 31 days old but no older than six months at entry.
Mandatory Blood Testing for
Dogs
Dogs must test negative for Brucella canis, Trypanosoma evansi, Babesia gibsoni, Dirofilaria immitis and Leishmania. The document states that these tests are valid for 31 days.
Veterinary Import Permit
Certified US veterinary results must be submitted to the Veterinary Services Department of Ghana before the animal boards the flight.

CDC Return Requirements
US-Vaccinated Dogs
A valid CDC Dog Import Form receipt and original US-issued Rabies Vaccination Certificate are required.

PET LIABILITY AGREEMENT
International Pet Travel Liability Waiver and Indemnity Agreement
Required information includes Pet Name, Species, Breed, Age and Weight, ISO 15-Digit Microchip Number, Client Full Legal Name, Client Signature and Date. The agreement must be executed at least 60 days before departure alongside the required USDA and veterinary lab certifications.
